

Marcin advises on complex commercial disputes. He has handled a range of cross-border disputes, working with lawyers from international firms. He has advised government administration bodies and ministries. He sits as an arbitrator in arbitration proceedings. Among his recent achievements are providing legal support for the restructuring of a power plant modernisation project for a leading energy company, assisting a top oil and gas company in a pre-litigation dispute with an contractor of an innovative biochemical installation, and offering advice on corporate merger controls for an innovative automotive sector company. He represents Volkswagen AG in a precedent-setting class action brought against the company by users of cars with EA189 engines. He also represented the claimant in a winning case against the Republic of Egypt on the protection of investments, related to a gas pipeline from Israel to Egypt. Recently Marcin successfully represented a group of Irish investors in the pursuit of a claim in Poland and the enforcement of a favourable judgment in Ireland. The case involved the abuse of the power of attorney and significant financial damage.

Marcin earned a doctorate in administrative law at the University of Warsaw, as well as a diploma from the International Faculty of Comparative Law in Strasbourg. He is a member of Warsaw Bar Association. From 2010 to 2015 he was an Officer on the Litigation Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA), and in 2008-2009 he was the Chairman of the Committee for Poland. In 2012-2013 he represented the Polish Bar Council in the International Bar Association Council. Since 2023, he has been a judge of the State Tribunal, and since 2013, a judge of the Higher Disciplinary Court of the Bar. He has been recommended for years in numerous rankings and publications, such as Chambers Europe, Chambers Global, the Legal500 and the Rzeczpospolita daily newspaper’s Law Firm Ranking, as an expert in the area of dispute resolution and one of the best-known trial lawyers in Poland. Between 2022 and 2024, the Rzeczpospolita Legal Firms Ranking listed him as a leader in the category of Dispute Resolution, and in 2025, as a recommended lawyer in Competition Law and Antitrust.
