Sylwia specialises in commercial, construction, civil, administrative and public-procurement law. and concentrates on providing multifaceted legal advice for infrastructure and investment projects (including FIDIC contract conditions). For more than 14 years, she worked at a leading Polish construction company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, where she advised on all strategic areas of operations, eventually holding the position of Head of Legal. She has experience with, among others, complex court proceedings related to payments after withdrawal from construction contracts including projects with EU financing, and construction disputes over increased remuneration, amendments and invalidation of agreements (based on a rebus sic stantibus clause or an increase in a lump-sum payment). During her years of work, Sylwia’s expertise has led to numerous settlements between contractors and investors, including public investors such as Poland’s General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA). She has also worked on the execution of investment projects, drafting and verifying contracts as well as preparing agreements and legal analyses for the manufacturing, finance and real estate sectors. Sylwia advises on aspects of public procurement law, at every step of the contracting process, including on the introduction of legal protections for both contractors and investors. She represents clients before the National Appeals Chamber. In her practice Sylwia is also responsible for corporate oversight and compliance, covering security and data protection, including GDPR implementation.

Sylwia graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. Her master’s thesis focused on contemporary transformations of the state in the legal culture of the West. In 2022, she completed postgraduate LL.M. studies in International Commercial Law at Koźminski University. Sylwia is a member of Warsaw Bar Association. She is a business and people-oriented lawyer with outstanding negotiating and interpersonal skills. Her professionalism and effectiveness in dispute resolution are reflected in Polish and international legal rankings, including The Legal 500 and the Ranking of Law Firms of the daily newspaper Rzeczpospolita. The latter earned her an individual recommendation in 2022 in Mediation and Arbitration and Public Procurement Law.
